Welcome to the Unit of Health-Care Epidemiology website

The Unit of Health-Care Epidemiology is part of the Department of Public Health. The Unit includes a work programme on epidemiological and health services research using medical statistics and linked data; it has undertaken collaborative projects with the South East Public Health Observatory on hospital statistics and mortality statistics; it housed the Oxford site of the National Centre for Health Outcomes Development and the Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement (PROM) Group; it runs the UK Medical Careers Research Group; and the MRC/FPA study of contraception and women's health.
